Pupil Premium

The Government have used pupils entitled to Free School meals as an indicator for disadvantaged pupils, and have deployed  a fixed amount of money to schools per pupil, based on the number of pupils registered for Free School meals (currently and/or in the last 6 years). This amount of money will increase every year of the course of this current Parliament (reaching £900 per pupil in 2013). At Bishop Barrington School we will be using the indicators of those eligible for Free School meals and children looked after, as our target pupils to not only narrow, but eliminate any gap regarding progress and attainment.
