Your feedback from our Y9 options evenings (2019)

Thank you to parents who attending our Y9 options evenings in March 2019. The options process is now complete and the overwhelming majority of pupils have been able to select their first choices.

Parental feedback, as always, is greatly appreciated and valued. Your comments help us to continue to ensure high quality parental communication. A summary of your feedback, from the two evenings, is reported below:

100% of parents rated the quality of the options evening (including information provided) as GOOD or OUTSTANDING, with an average score of 9.2 out of 10. (1= poor 10 = outstanding). Comments included:

“It was good to be able to speak to all subject teachers, not just the options subject teachers.”

“The options information was very useful.”

“ Was impressed with everything that was explained any further help just to ask.”

“Well presented, fully explained - help parent and child understand more about options.”

We also appreciate constructive critique and appreciate that parents’ working hours don’t always make attendance to parents evenings possible. Parents are always welcome to contact school, we will do our best to answer any queries at a time that’s more convenient.

90+% of parents stated that the school has good systems to manage behaviour, responds well to concerns and provides valuable information about progress of their child.

100% of parents agreed or strongly agreed that their child is happy, feels safe and is making good progress at school. 100% also stated that their child is well taught.

95% of parents would recommend Bishop Barrington School to another parent.
