More than 300 of our students took part in a dance-a-thon to raise money for children’s charity. We were invited to take part in The Ultimate Dance-a-thon in aid of Save the Children for the second year running. The year Seven and Eight pupils, together with youngsters from Woodhouse Primary School, took turns to bop to music during the five hour event. The pupils were allowed to wear their own clothes and the music was played by DJs from Bishop FM.
Teacher Caroline Bibby said: “It is good fun and something different. They have all had to get sponsorship for dancing for an hour.”
Schools reward points were handed out to children who grabbed the attention of their teachers for both their dancing and outfits. The final total we raised for the Save the Children Danceathon was £821.94!!
