Our aim at Bishop Barrington is to provide all pupils in our care with a desire and clear path to achieve academic success.

Leisure & Tourism

Students studying the course will not only gain GCSE qualifications but will learn about and be involved in the world of work. They will be able to go on to travel places, earn good money and security in the knowledge that there will always be vacancies for people trained in the Leisure & Tourism industries.

A Dual Award programme, students can gain two GCSEs in this subject as well gain an industry recognised professional certificate in "Welcome Host".

As part of the Dual Award programme students study three units of work:

Educational Visits

Leisure & Tourism students have the opportunity to go on educational visits to the Lake District, Durham and London, with more visits elsewhere being planned in future.
