World Book Day - Murder Mystery Comp

On Thursday 15th March we held our annual World Book Day competition in the ARC, slightly later than normal this year due to the "Beast from the East", and the school unfortunately having to close.

Rather than asking the pupils to make something, as we have in previous years, we decided we would have a Cluedo style Murder Mystery competition.  All pupils in years 7 and 8 were given an entry form and they had to search the school for clues, marked on a map, to find out "Whodunnit!?"  Teaching staff even dressed as the suspects!

Pupils loved this and spent break and lunchtime scouring the corridors and buildings looking for clues on who had committed the murder, what weapon they had used and where it had taken place.  Many pupils solved the mystery and discovered that it was in fact Alice, using the Elder Wand at Camp Half Blood.

Winners were drawn at random from correct entries.  In 1st place, Lily in Year 7, Thomas in Year 8 came 2nd and Anya and Hollie in Year 7, who worked as a team, came in 3rd.  All winners received Vivo miles, books and sweets.

Well done to all who took part!
