Dear Parent/Carer

School ICT SYSTEM CRUCIAL upgrades

Bishop Barrington School is undergoing a number of crucial ICT system upgrades over the Easter holidays, concluding on Friday 21st April.

As a consequence of these upgrades teaching and support staff will need to be trained to use the new systems to ensure there is a smooth transition after the changeover.

Unfortunately as a result of this, the school will remain closed until 10am on Monday 24th April to allow for staff training. I would be very grateful if you could assist with this by allowing students to come to school for period 2 (10.00 am) instead of 8.45 am on Monday 24th April. Pupils will register in period 2 teaching rooms at this time.

If children have a problem with this, for example because of transport difficulties, and need to come to school at the normal time, they will be supervised until school re-opens at 10am.

I have attempted to negotiate with contractors to complete the upgrades earlier so that staff can receive update training during the holidays but this is the only time that these crucial upgrades can take place.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you

Thank you for your continuing support.

Yours sincerely

Mr M. Bennett

Deputy Head Teacher
