Young Andrew Ayre is literally jumping for joy at reaching the All Schools National Tramploining finals in Bristol in March. Twelve year old Andrew, who is coached by Kevin Young at Sedgefield Springers, has been trampolining for 4 years. His success has impressed the judges at every stage of his competitive career.
Recently he entered the North East Regional Schools Competition representing Bishop Barrington School. Andrew came first. He then went through to compete, on January 17th in Hull at the Zonal Round. Although the South Church youngster came a very close second, he was still put through to the All Schools National Finals in Bristol in March, where again he will be representing Bishop Barrington School.
Everyone at school is very proud of Andrew and it is touching to discover that his first thoughts are not about personal ambition alone, but those of his school mates. Andrew said, “I’m really proud to represent Bishop Barrington School, and I hope that I can do them proud.”
