Barrington Football in Spain

Monday 18 May 2015

Bishop Barrington's Football teams are on their way to Spain. The students from Year 8 & Year 9 teams will play against Spanish opposition on a 6 day trip to Salou. As well as visiting the resorts Theme Park, the students will also be visiting the magnificent Nou Camp Stadium in Barcelona. This is the first Football trip abroad for the school.
Michael Creegan who is the school's Football Co-ordinator commented "This trip is a Fantastic opportunity for the students at Bishop Barrington to visit another country, play against Spanish opposition and experience being away from home with their friends. It will develop their Football and Sports knowledge, and gain a real sense of camaraderie which will help them in their future years at school".
The teams tracksuits have been provided by local company J and K Training Ltd. which is a local company specialising in Training courses for Maths, English and ICT in the North East, North West, Yorkshire and Humberside.  Ann Johnson - Managing Director commented "I am delighted to sponsor such a fantastic trip for the students at Bishop Barrington. After meeting the students it is evident that they are really looking forward to visiting Spain. The experiences gained will help them in the future".
A big thank you to Ann Johnson & Paul Kelly for their generosity in supporting us!
