One year 8 Bishop Barrington student in Bishop Auckland, Scott Wilson, has shown that 4 wheels can really give him a flying start in his chosen sport – quad racing.

Bishop Barrington always aims high academically, but it is really exciting when students reach the top by their own efforts and in their own time. That is exactly what happened with our Year 7 netball team. Not only were they unbeaten throughout the entire year but they ended up winning the South West Durham School netball league Trophy!

Bishop Barrington continues to be immensely proud of its pupils who deserve the highest praise in their academic achievement. In terms of Contextual Value Added, the prime method of judging improvement in pupil progress and performance, the school was ranked 33 in the whole country and fifth in Durham for 2009.
