Bishop Barrington School 'A Learning Journey' video

Bishop Barrington wishes to thank The University of Teeside for their assistance in making this DVD. While the central core of the content originated in school, the highly professional advice and interpretation that was applied to it by the University, made the final version reflect the school’s message perfectly.

In particular, we would like to thank Dominic Dunn, Emma Swales and Paul Buckley for the expertise.

Much of the script for this DVD came directly from the students’ own comments. Every year, students register their feelings about the school in a process known as “Student Voice.” Here, they can comment on many aspects of school life. The staff and Senior Leadership Team take these comments seriously and wherever possible act on the suggestions which flow from the process.

We are very proud of our students and the superb results that they manage to achieve in year 11. But we are equally aware that as each new year arrives, we need to care in a slightly different way for our pupils. It is precisely this high quality, flexible approach to caring at Bishop Barrington, that leads our students to speak so positively about our staff.

We hope that this DVD gives you a “taste” of what the school has to offer. You will find much more information on our website. If any of our staff can give you any further information, at any time, then please just contact us and we will be most pleased to talk or meet with you.
